Description
Photographed between incoming waves during a storm on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The ocean waves had carved out a deep part of the shoreline. As the waves rose above the newly created shoreline and rolled back over the sand this amazing tree line appeared. I actually photographed this beautiful natural art upside down as the waves were incoming and I stood above on the beach. As soon as it was created, it disappeared with the next wave.
I called it Under A Seashell Moon because the broken mussel shell in the top left corner looks like a crescent or half moon. The crushed seashells look like stars over the forest and the water below becomes magical as it flows upwards.
This is truly one of my most favourite images! Roxy
